Environmentally-Friendly Gardening
One could think that gardening is an activity that can be only harmless to the environment and even contributes to its improvement, but, unfortunately, that is not always the case and private gardening, as extensive agriculture, can generate a series of environmental harm.
Following some recommendations classified in the following categories, you can contribute to pollution control and conservation of biodiversity while enjoying safely your gardening activities and production. Refer to the quoted documentation for more information.
- About Chemicals and their Alternatives
- The Bird-Friendly Garden
- The Insect-Friendly Garden
- "My Weeds"
- Cultivating Threatened Species in your Garden (to the example of threatened species in Bavaria)
- Sparing Water
- Imported / Poisonous Plants
This section will be subject to an endless work of actualisation. It will also take me a lot of time to gather and publish relevant information and provide an extensive documentation. If you wish me to add any piece of information that you would judge to be of priority, would like me to make some research on a given point (s.a. biological control of one pest affecting your garden), or even want to make a suggestion or share your experience with me, please contact me (contact information in the Ji:About section). I will try to help you as far as my spare time allows it.
